Police begin search for missing Nollywood star

Enugu State Police Command has started a search for missing Nollywood actress, Cynthia Okereke.

The Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) on Friday declared Okekere and his colleague, Clemson Cornel, missing.

In a statement released by its director of communications, Ms. Monalisa Chinda-Coker, the AGN said the duo had not returned home since leaving a filming location in the Ozalla community in the United States. State.

Command spokesman DSP Daniel Ndukwe confirmed the development in a statement released in Enugu on Saturday.

Ndukwe said: “The current report available to us focuses on an abandoned vehicle case as well as a missing person.

“The vehicle was abandoned and recovered at Four-Corners on the Enugu-Port-Harcourt Highway, precisely in the community of Ozalla in the Nkanu West Local Government Area of ​​the State Road Centerline. ‘Enugu.

“On July 29, at approximately 7.30 a.m., we received information that a red colored Jeep Toyota RAV4 with the registration AGL 199 CY was noticed to have been parked in an abandoned lane at Four-Corners on the Enugu-Port-Port Highway. Harcourt. .

“Therefore, the place was visited and the vehicle was recovered.

“Coincidentally, at around 11:30 a.m. on the same day, a report was further received that the vehicle belongs to a certain Cynthia Okereke (f), a Nollywood actress, who was last seen on July 26.”

The spokesperson said one person was reported missing at the command.

Nothing has been said or heard about the other missing Nollywood star, Cornel, as the police have remained silent about it.
