Police are looking for two men after burglaries at a hotel and a supermarket

Police released CCTV footage of two burglaries in Sydney last year after inquiries led them to suspect the incidents could be linked.

Police set up Strike Force Karabin to investigate an armed robbery at a western Sydney hotel and a separate aggravated break-in at a northwest Sydney supermarket last year.

Police have learned that two men – one of whom was armed with a pistol – threatened hotel workers before stealing a cash register.

When the police arrived at the hotel at 4:30 p.m., the men had already left. They were seen fleeing the area in a gray Holden Caprice, which had previously been stolen.

Staff and guests who were inside the hotel at the time of the robbery were not injured.

More than six months after the burglaries, police are appealing for help from anyone who can help identify the two men in the surveillance footage.

One of the men has a strong build and was wearing gray sweatpants, a black sweater, bright yellow and green shoes, white gloves and a white face covering.
