Body found in search of missing 20-year-old man who went missing after a party just before Christmas

Harvey Parker has been missing since the early hours of December 17, when he was last seen on CCTV leaving Heaven nightclub at 2.15am.

Police were alerted by the RNLI at around 11:50 a.m. Tuesday of reports of a body in the River Thames near Embankment.

Officers from the Met’s Marine Support Unit recovered the body and the death is treated as unexplained.

On Thursday, December 16, Harvey attended a Lil Simz concert at the O2 Academy in Brixton.

He then returned to his family home in Waterloo to change his outfit before heading to LGBTQ + nightclub, Heaven, in Charing Cross.

CCTV footage released by Lambeth Police recorded him leaving the nightclub at 2:15 a.m. and entering Craven Street before walking south towards Embankment.

Police began searching the Thames on December 22 after suggesting he may have entered the water near the Golden Jubilee Bridge.

Chief Detective Inspector Lucy O’Connor, of the South Central Command Unit, said: ‘Unfortunately a body was found in the Thames near where Harvey was seen for the last time.

Harvey’s mother, Amanda Parker, said she saw no reason he would be missing.

She said Metro : “Right before going to bed Harvey came back and was really upbeat and very positive about the gig and had a great time.”
